Charles E. (Tom) Thomas, Jr. is a Managing Partner at Thomas, Long, Niesen & Kennard.
Tom has been serving utility and other corporate clients for more than 35 years, concentrating in the areas of public utility, securities regulation and general corporate law. He has represented utility clients before state and federal regulatory agencies and courts in numerous gas, telephone, electric, water, steam and liquid pipeline proceedings involving rates, service, certificate applications and deregulation issues.
Tom has extensive experience in connection with public and private financings, mergers, acquisitions, and other securities regulation matters, including the preparation of various SEC reports, proxy solicitation materials and bluesky filings. He served as Chairman on the Board of Directors of North Pittsburgh Systems, Inc., prior to its merger with and into Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc.
Tom is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the area of Utility Law. He is B-V rated by Martindale-Hubble. He holds membership in the Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, American, and International Bar Associations.
