Memorial Service for Robert H. Long, Jr.
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our esteemed colleague and friend, Robert H. Long, Jr., on March 7, 2011. Even in the days leading up to his death, Bob was full of energy and passion for municipal finance. The son of a college professor, Bob was always ready to offer sage advice to his Municipal Finance Practice Group and anybody within earshot on better ways to structure a financing or even run the world.
Bob was one of those old school kind of guys who seemed to be able to discuss just about anything from Keynesian economics to big game hunting in Africa. In this era of information through sound bites, understanding with depth is a rare commodity. Fortunately, we are all the beneficiaries for having had the opportunity to work with Bob.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. It will be preceded by a visitation on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home on Market Street in Camp Hill and on Monday morning at Trinity Lutheran beginning at 10:00 a.m. A reception is expected to follow the memorial service.
In the meantime, if you need further information, please contact Charles E. Thomas, Jr. (717-255-7615 / cthomasjr@thomaslonglaw.com) or Jennifer M. (Sultzaberger) Caron (717-255-7236 / jmc@thomaslonglaw.com). We hope to see you next week.
Sincerely,
THOMAS, LONG, NIESEN & KENNARD
